The work for Table X consisted of finish carpentry and some built in furniture for the restaurant before their opening in November 2016. Pictured here are shelves that I designed and installed in the kitchen, a window bench in the host area, and a built in desk in the office. All of the doors, trim and window and door casing I hung and installed in collaboration with the architect and interior designer.
Sacred Spaces is a natural building company that I had the privilege of working with in Upstate New York. Jeff Gagnon is the owner and designer for the company.

This is a sliding door that I made for a client in Brooklyn, NY. This is a modification on a friend's design. For this door I used charred cherry boards tied together with patinaed metal channel edging. This is a bedroom door for their young daughter so I made sure the slat spacing allowed some light to pass through from the living room while still providing privacy with a translucent plexi backing.
While working in Upstate NY, my partner, Haleigh, and I lived in this converted hexagonal double door garage. When we moved in, we got to help design and install a set of windows in place of one of the doors. Other features we added were a screen door, bed frame and simple kitchen set up as well as installing a wood stove for heat. The experience was a fun insight into what it takes to provide a comfortable living space for oneself.
These are a set of shelves that I designed and built for a client in Brooklyn, NY. They needed a space to store books and be able to display hanging artwork as well as small sculptural pieces. The goal was to have something functional and sturdy without being too linear. The shelves are made from 6/4 white oak and blackened iron pipe make up the supports.
This chair is a sculptural piece that I made for an art show in Kingston, NY. I found the old wooden ladder sticking out of a snowbank at a job site and the chair came together quite naturally. Every part of the chair came from the old ladder and only needed a bit of rearranging and about 5-6 nails. It turned out to be a comfortable seat.
This cabinet I designed and build for a client in Brooklyn, NY. It sits in their backyard and is constructed out of raw eastern white cedar with a soapstone counter top. The cabinet provides an outdoor cooking space and houses a smoker and roaster grill that protrudes through the soapstone top.
